Fitness Motivation

Fitness motivation tips for staying motivated fitness doesn't have to be drudgery. These tips can help you add focus and fun to your fitness motivation routine.

Have you ever started a fitness motivation program and then quit? If you answered yes, you're not alone. Many people start fitness motivation programs but stop when they get bored or results come too slowly. Here are seven tips to help you stay motivated.
Fitness motivation:
1. Set goals with fitness motivation:
Start with simple goals and then progress to longer range goals. Remember to make your goals realistic and achievable. It's easy to get frustrated and give up if your goals are too ambitious.
http://goo.gl/KTvm2F
For example, if you haven't exercised in a while, a short-term goal might be to walk 10 minutes a day three days a week. An intermediate goal might be to walk 30 minutes five days a week. A long-term goal might be to complete a 5K walk.

2. Make it fun with fitness motivation:
Find sports or activities that you enjoy, then vary the routine to keep you on your toes. If you're not enjoying your workouts, try something different. Join a volleyball or softball league. Take a ballroom dancing class.
http://goo.gl/exhLCp
Check out a health club or martial arts center. Discover your hidden athletic talent. Remember, fitness motivation exercise doesn't have to be drudgery — and you're more likely to stick with a fitness program if you're having fun.

3. Make physical activity part of your daily routine with fitness motivation:
If it's hard to find time for exercise, don't fall back on excuses. Schedule workouts as you would any other important activity. You can also slip in physical activity throughout the day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Walk up and down sidelines while watching the kids play sports. Pedal a stationary bike or do strength fitness motivation exercises while you watch TV at night.

Beginners Belly Dance-Habibi ya Eini

11-02-2011 को अपलोड किया गया

This Performance was part of a school event in summer 2010 and the girls dancing in the background hadn't done belly dancing up until then.
I made up this choreography for my sports class (for everyone who wanted to perform a middle eastern dance at the event).

So before giving unconstructive or narrow minded comments, please consider that these girls merley had a few belly dance lessons before performing.

And sorry about the silly writing in front of the picture. Unfortunately some editing programs put a watermark over the videos if they were edited with a trial version.
Enjoy =)

The rapid economic, demographic, and social transformation of India in recent decades has already resulted in the double burden of unresolved epidemics of infectious diseases (e.g., malaria, tuberculosis) coupled with rising rates of chronic diseases (e.g., stroke, heart attack). This was stated by Professor Gourie Devi, former Director and Vice-Chancellor of National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore in the 31st Dr LH Lobo memorial oration. A 3 year old girl child is now pain free

Wed, Mar 6, 2013 at 11:59 AM
Stone removed by the CMC team
Ludhiana, 6th March, 2013:(Shalu Arora and Rector Kathuria): A 3 year old girl child, daughter of a labourer was suffering, with continuous pain in the lower abdomen and urinary infection for past threemonths. She was referred to the Department of Paediatric Surgery CMC and Hospital Ludhiana for further management. Investigations revealed that there was a 2.5 cms. long and 1.5 cms. thick, stone which was completely  obstructing the flow of urine from left kidney to urinary bladder and causing urinary infection and abdominal pain. Since there was no free flow of urine from kidney, there wasswelling and deterioration of kidney function with continuous abdominal pain.

Dr William Bhatti Professor and Head, Department of Paediatric Surgery and his teamdoctors, Dr N Bedi, Dr A Gupta and Dr S Dhuria, successfully performed laparoscopic removal of stone from the ureter. Theparents are happy as their daughter does not have a big operative scar on her abdomen and she is pain free because of the laparoscopic surgery. This type of operation, where the impacted stone at lower ureterovesical junction in a 3 year old child, was removed by laparoscopic operationis the first to be performed in India. So far this type of surgery has been done by open procedures which results in long scar marks and prolongedhospital stay. In laparoscopic surgery, the child will have 2-3 tiny scars of 5mm on their abdomen, with  less pain and shorter hospital stay as compared to open surgeries.

Dr William Bhatti further mentioned that presence of stones in urinary system is a common problem in children and it can be managed safely with laparoscopic operations. Parents should not ignore if their child complains of continuous abdominal pain and paediatric surgeons should be consulted immediately to prevent further complications.

So when she was investigated for her symptoms it was found that she was having a very rare complex tumor involving skull base region of the brain. Tumor was close to many critical structures of the brain. She was refused surgery at other private institutes and was referred to CMCH for further management. This kind of complex and aggressive tumor requires high level of surgical expertise and teamwork.
